I’m Dr. Azadeh Shams, and my journey in health and wellness began in my home country of Iran. I earned my Master’s degree in Corrective Movement and Pathology of Sport, combining my passion for movement with a deep understanding of the body. As an athlete myself, I know firsthand how vital it is to maintain a healthy, well-aligned body for both performance and overall well-being. This journey led me to pursue chiropractic care, where I now specialize in helping others achieve their healthiest selves through holistic and effective treatments. I spent many years working closely with students and athletes, both as a coach in various sports fields and as a trainer. During this time, I gained valuable insight into how posture and body alignment directly impact performance and overall health. I also ran my own clinic, where I worked with special populations such as stroke survivors, individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS), and those struggling with posture issues or chronic conditions. I would assess each patient’s body and design personalized rehabilitation programs, working with them in the pool and gym to improve their movement and recovery.
In late 2018, my journey took a new turn when I moved to the United States. It was an exciting and challenging transition, but I was determined to continue my passion for helping others through chiropractic care and corrective movement. I quickly found a job that allowed me to build on the skills and experiences I had gained in Iran. I continued to work with the same populations I had in my home country, including stroke survivors, individuals with MS, and those with posture-related issues.
Upon moving to beautiful Orange County, California, I further expanded my expertise by earning a license in massage therapy, which helped me refine my hands-on skills. I also became a certified personal trainer and began working with my own clients, offering personalized care to improve their health and wellness.
At the end of 2021, I decided to take the next step in my journey and pursue my chiropractic education. This transition felt natural for me, given my extensive experience working directly with athletes, women, and individuals of all backgrounds. I already had a deep understanding of the body, and chiropractic care was the perfect way for me to expand my ability to help others improve their posture, movement, and overall health
